Creating connections. Supporting artists. Building community.

CREATE Radford (Radford Arts Association) is a growing, welcoming community of artists, makers, writers, creatives, and arts supporters who believe that art makes Radford a better place to live, work, and play!

We're here to connect people, support local artists, encourage creativity, and find new ways to bring the arts into everyday life in Radford, Virginia. Whether you're a professional artist or musician, a weekend hobbyist, a creative business owner, or someone who simply loves the arts, there's a place for you here.

Our community includes artists of all disciplines, writers, makers, musicians, small business owners, arts administrators, educators, students, and people who are simply curious about getting involved. You don't have to call yourself an artist to belong.

If you believe in the value of creativity and community, you're one of us!

Since our first gathering, we've welcomed around 60 participants at our monthly meetings (around 30 at each meeting), bringing together people of different ages, backgrounds, experiences, and interests. We're excited to keep growing, building relationships, sharing ideas, and creating opportunities for artists and the greater Radford community.

Come Create With Us!

We meet as a full group on the last Tuesday of every month at 6:00 PM, with meeting locations rotating throughout Radford.

Our gatherings are casual, friendly, and open to everyone. Come meet your creative neighbors, learn what's happening in the local arts community, share an idea, or simply listen and get inspired. There's no pressure to attend every meeting or take on a project. Come when you can, participate however you'd like, and know that you're always welcome.

You don't need to be an artist. You don't need to know anyone. You just need to show up!

Growing Together

CREATE Radford is officially registered as a Virginia nonstock corporation, and we're currently in the midst of obtaining federal 501(c)(3) nonprofit status.

We're building something for Radford, by Radford, and we'd love for you to be part of it.
