ACCESS
Art is for everyone. We want everyone to feel welcome in Radford’s arts community. We create accessible opportunities for people of all ages, backgrounds, abilities, experiences, and skill levels to experience and participate in the arts.
ARTISTS
Artists make Radford stronger. We support and celebrate Radford artists by helping them connect, share their work, grow their skills, find new opportunities, and get paid for their creative work.
CONNECTION
Creativity brings people together. We believe art is a great way to connect people. We bring artists, neighbors, businesses, schools, organizations, and community partners together through shared creative experiences.
PLACE
Art makes a place special. We support public art, creative projects, and beautification efforts that make Radford more colorful, interesting, welcoming, and reflective of the people who live here.
PARTICIPATION
Everyone can be creative. Art is not just something to look at. We create opportunities for people to make, learn, try something new, and get involved through children’s programs, adult workshops, community projects, and more.
PRIDE
We’re proud to create here. We want artists to be proud to call Radford home and residents to be proud of the creative community around them. We celebrate local talent and use art to help build an even stronger sense of pride in our city.
COLLABORATION
We create more together. We believe the best ideas often happen when people work together. We build partnerships across the arts, education, local businesses, community organizations, tourism, and the City of Radford to make creative ideas happen.
